Irissa Machetta

Irissa Machetta is in the Class of 2024 at Harvard College studying the intersections of bioengineering, neurology, and economics. She is passionate about creating opportunities to address health and educational inequities through social entrepreneurship. Irissa is a founding member of Miss STEM International, co-founder of Crafting Connections, and served in youth empowerment projects in marginalized communities. In addition to providing mentorship and inspiring young girls through Miss STEM, she provides outreach for opening pathways to STEM achievement in underrepresented youth populations. On-campus, she serves on the Advisory Board (SAB) of the Harvard Radcliffe Institute, Team Lead on the Leadership Institute for The First-Year Experience, and served on the board of the Harvard Robotics Club (2021), among others.
